5.5.08 Got my driver's permit today! Tagged by - 8 Random Facts!
1. I'm severely lactose-intolerant and now sugar intolerant, but it doesnt stop me from eating sweets and pastries! (I just feel really sick afterwards...XD)
2. I used to have a six pack...4 months ago... working to build it up again... >< I like working out, but I can't seem to find time to exercise nowadays with all the homework. D:
3. I used to be an aspiring child-model. I had taken the classes and had my own agent and everything, but my parents pulled me out of it right before I got into any ad. (Because the child-pageant kid in like 1996 was raped/murdered/kidnapped, my parents didn't want that potentially happening to me D: )
4. I'm extremely shy and self-conscious around new people, and its really hard for me to approach/talk to other people at conventions. I still have the noob-cosplayer mentality that they'll ignore me because my costume isn't up to par or whatever...
5. I've taken tap dancing, tahitian dancing, gymnastics, ballet, and hip-hop, but I still can't walk without tripping over myself XD
6. My face is continually stuck in a /o\ position when i'm on stage...I looked really bad/high during our fanime 06 skit.
7. In my cosplay group, I have a weird habit of dressing myself up in uncompleted mismatched pieces of our costumes, and making funny/ugly faces at the camera to make the others/myself laugh. I'm the one who usually decides which series to cosplay, and I end up doing most of the work lolol
8. As much as I like goofing off with my cosplay group with hairspray and stuff, I really like discussing current events and issues with whoever will discuss it with me. XD I really like parlimentary debating (on the school team and all) even though I don't seem like the type to argue; I usually back down to other people if it isn't really important even if I get hurt in the process, unless I'm arguing with ~SpriteOcarina XD
5.4.08 Today, me, Jeanine, ~Vielara, ~SpriteOcarina, ~nikorasu-kun, and *merkymerx (Basically everyone in OMG5 except for Sam and plus Miguel) all went to see Forbidden Kingdom and had lunch in Japantown.

So this is my experience of the trip, lol.

Woke up, got dressed, and called Jeanine at 9:30 am. Turns out that she had overslept and that I had woken her up...XD I arrived at the train station just as my train was leaving, so I waited with no one else on the platform for about 15 minutes for the next train, met up with Jeanine at her station, sketched on the train while Jeanine played tetris, and then we arrived at the first destination-West Field Mall in San Francisco. The meetup place was Borders, but since it was our first time at the mall, we consulted the handy ELECTRIC TOUCH SCREEN MALL MAP TO FIND BORDERS. But in the end, we still had to ask the mall concierge for directions... We were the first to arrive in Borders and met up with Miguel and the rest of OMG5 shortly afterwards, and we all headed upstairs to see Forbidden Kingdom. Not a faaaaantastic movie, but pretty entertaining with Jet Li, Jackie Chan, and the girl from Condor Heros (YAAAAAAAAN GOOOOOOR). I spent most of the movie laughing at the bad wigs (especially the long silver one!), admiring the costumes, and wishing that I had learned kung fu when I was little. XD After the movie, we followed Migurl, who knew how to get around on public transport in SF better than we did, to the bus to japantown. It was the first time many of us have ridden buses, so we looked like inexperienced suburb noobs on the bus. XD


Arrived at Japantown, and I ran off to see if I was on the Japanvideo Cherry Blossom Festival billboard- I was, but I was closing my eyes, much to my embarrassment...


I also took my ceremonial "make my deranged samurai face" picture in one of the many japantown insert-facers-things, and my head got a bit stuck. XD



We had lunch at a restaurantwhichIforgetthenameofnowbutithassushiandoyakodon, and we had sushi or oyakodon. I washed my hands when everyone went in first, and they went afterwards because we took public transport and all. I was bored and was taking pictures of myself when Victoria snuck up on me and scared me into screaming.

Miguel impressed most of OMG5 with his wasabi-eating powers, but he was no match for my peanut-butter consistency wasabi/soysauce mixture and pure wasabi eating powers. (My nose hurt afterwards though)

Nick seemed to find it very funny...
We talked about cosplay and convention experiences for the rest of the lunch-time, like Jeanine's wonderful Death-note movie experience at Anime Expo, and our hotel-cooking-hairspray+ricecooker near-death experience and just spazzed about Fanime the rest of the time. After lunch, we did purikura! (My favorite part of the day, lol.) We were joking around that purikura turned normal people/guys into BEAUTIFUL KAWAII JAPANEZ WOMANZ, but IT ACTUALLY WORKED.

3. Obviously, me, Jeanine, and Miguel are the most beautiful KAWAII WOMANS in this picture. Looongcat is long, but it is cut up into 3 bite-size pieces.
4.The sperm are trying to mate with us kawaii beautiful womanz. Jeanine originally had a sumo-body attached to her face, but she made us get rid of it. XD
5.We are the seksiest bebebees in the universe. Have we turned into beautiful women yet? We were doing gangstar signs for this photo, but somehow turned into SEKSI BEBES? Migurl is obviously the SEKSIEST BEBEBEBEBE in here.
6. WE ARE BEAUTIFUL CONCUBINES WHO WILL SEDUCE YOUUUUUU~ We were inspired by the scene in Forbidden Kingdom where Jackie Chan & co. run through a brothel with alot of beautifulll concubines. I think we're moar kawaii-neko-desu-chan than them though.. >3<

We crammed everyone in the tiny photo-editing booth, and spent a looooong time decorating the pictures, spazzing about the timer running out (it froze at 35 lol), and spent a long time cutting them into individual photos (4 sheets worth!). There were a bunch of duplicates of the sperm and OMG5 lawl, and not enough concubines to go around, so I didn't get one. ;__; Sadly, ~Vielara, ~nikorasu-kun, ~SpriteOcarina had to leave early, so me, Jeanine, and Miguel sent them to the bus stop and just hung out and had dessert (dream cake for those two, creme broule for me) until Jeanine's parents mysteriously appeared in Japantown early, and we had to part ways. It was a really fun day, and I can't wait to see everyone at Fanime!

4.7.08 Finally Spring Break! 8D I finished my DMV online course stuff, worked on a bunch of cosplay stuff, obtained all the tickets I need for conventions and concerts, and finished the sketch of my last contest piece for this month! Happyhappyhappy. I was thinking back to my family friend's funeral, where I had finally learned that life was too short and that we had to live it to the fullest, and just now I realized that my grudges against some people were totally uncalled for, and that friendship and acceptance felt much better than the grudges held. I sound like a hippie now lololol. But yeah, from now on, I need to re-assess some of my grudges and see if they're actually worth holding. LET'S BE FRIENDS EVERYONE~ We'll all be better off! XD

CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL

CBF was really fun! I met up with a bunch of cosplay friends, entered in the contest (4th place!), walked in the parade, and ate food in Japantown afterwards. Since the event was pretty much in public, there were some creepers around- there was this guy who wanted to get my friend's contact info and he showed her some hentai doujinshi. >< My costume was complete ( I redid the pants a few days ago though) but I had left my armbands at 's house, which was reallllly far away from my house and CBF, and my pants were much lower and looser than I had anticipated...XD Still, I had alot of fun, and I can't wait to go next year! , lets get on the float next year!

Is anyone from dA going? It's the parade/festival in Japantown on April 20 that has a bunch of japanese culture stuff and a cosplay parade(which is what I'm mostly going for, har har). I'll be wearing Sun Shang Xiang for the first time, and entering in the contest.

5/16 Miyavi Concert in LA
-Turns out I can't go, but I still have a ticket! So, I'm selling a Los Angeles Miyavi Concert Ticket at the Avalon on May 16. If interested at all, please
comment or note me! I will sell the ticket 5 dollars less than the website sells because I just want to get some of my money back.
-I'm needing a ride to get to this event. I already bought the tickets because I was afraid that they would sell out, but I don't have a definite way to get there yet. D: Hopefully it'll work out...
5/17 Hollywood Bowl-Kpop Concert
Turns out Big Bang and F.T. Island aren't going, but I'm still going to see DBSK, SG Wannabe, and Super Junior T, so I'm still very excited! Is anyone else going?

5/18 Miyavi Concert in SF-
At Slim's, tickets sold out in the first hour because it's a very small venue (nightclub). I'm going to fight my way to the front (it's a moshpit) and will attempt to get Miyavi's autograph and present my gifts to him.

4.7.08 Going to go two days-Saturday and Sunday- staying Saturday night! Saturday is Sun Shang Xiang day, and the masquerade is in the night, and my cosplay group OMG5 will be performing again~ (We need to rehearse *cough*) Going to be wearing Tsuna (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!) and going to the AN cafe concert!

ANIME EXPO
Hohoho, full weekend convention in Los Angeles! Super excited, but I have no idea which costumes to bring on which days, but that dosen’t really matter~ Not many events have been announce yet, so there's nothing to plan or spaz about yet. XD
